What to expect
These blissful outdoor mindfulness sessions are suitable for beginners to experienced meditators. They will provide you with the opportunity to start your Sunday slow, taking care of yourself, and connecting to the beautiful surroundings of either Heaton Park or Jesmond Dene (exact locations will be confirmed after booking).
During each 45 minute session you can expect:
Guided mindfulness meditations outside, led by an accredited and experienced mindfulness teacher
Gentle tension-melting stretches to release stress and feel good
Meditations and movement will vary each session to keep it fresh
NB: Mats to sit on are NOT provided - please bring your own!

Inspiring, engaging and accessible 45 minute session exclusively designed for adult wellbeing
Expertise from an accredited mindfulness teacher and qualified classroom teacher, Emma, who understands how to deliver mindfulness techniques in an accessible way, including the science behind the practices
Activities including but not limited to: movement/stretches, meditations, relaxation, breathing techniques, conversation and more
A friendly, safe and encouraging environment with the aim of helping you feel comfortable and at ease
About the teacher
Emma is an ex-classroom teacher who still works in education and has an absolute passion for all things mindfulness. Emma has experience teaching children and adults in schools, corporate sessions, in a yoga studio and in various different spaces.
Where?
Outdoor Mindfulness sessions will be taking place either in Heaton Park or Jesmond Dene, both in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Full details of the meeting spot and chosen session spot will be sent to you via email once you have booked your sessions from hello@mindful-meets.co.uk.
You should aim to arrive at least a few minutes before 10am, ready for the session to start on time.
There is parking near both parks, and the parking at Heaton Park is free of charge.
Both parks are within 15 minutes walking distance from a metro station and a short walk away from bus stops.

Please note that mats to sit on are NOT provided - please bring your own.
When you book, you will be required to fill in a short questionnaire. This informs Emma about any prior experience you have with mindfulness, any big life changes you are going through, any mental of physical health needs and anything else she should be aware of. This information will not be used for any other reason.
It is advised that you wears something comfortable and have layers, particularly for the variety of British weather conditions.
The sessions WILL still go ahead in the rain - keep an eye on your emails in the run up to each session for any updates on the meeting point in these circumstances!
